Who Am I?
So you want to know about me? Well, that makes both of us! I am an unfolding mystery with more questions than answers and plenty of personal and familial historical data that just doesn’t add up. Here are a few facts as I know them… My maiden name was Pamela Green and my birth certificate states that I was born 10 Feb 1960 in the Chicagoland area. My married name was Pamela Sweet that I changed to Pamela Arbor, and then finally to Julien Arbor. More informally… I simply go by Jules.
My professional name is Dr. Julien Arbor. I am a Licensed Clinical Health Psychologist, Integrative Natural Therapeutist, Researcher, Author, Consultant and a 7+ year Volunteer Health Educator & Moderator on one of the largest natural health websites on the internet. I have worked with patients with a full range of biopsychosocial challenges, including evaluating and working with rehabilitation patients with all levels of Traumatic Brain Injury.
I am also currently dealing with the challenges of a form of TBI known as an Acquired Brain Injury. The circumstances surrounding the development of my ABI have provided a tremendous opportunity to conduct extensive research that indicates that the psychiatric diagnosis of PTSD is actually a form of an Acquired Brain Injury that results from an acute and severe metabolic disruption that is brought about purely by extreme and traumatic stress. I have done an extensive review of the scientific literature as well as related historical medical texts, and gathered data for the past year and a half that will allow me to complete my own single case research study as soon as I have undergone my own treatment and rehabilitation that will allow me return to work.
There is already considerable research that demonstrates changes in brain structure in those who have been diagnosed with PTSD. However, this will be the first study that provides quantitative evidence that suggests that it is an underlying metabolic disruption following extreme and traumatic stress that results in damage to the brain. Furthermore, this research also points to treatments that will successfully address the symptoms, halt their progression and also suggests a means of preventing this condition from developing.
This research will also suggest an explanation for connections between a diagnosis of PTSD &/or ABI and a growing number of life-altering, chronic and costly health conditions that are highly correlated later in life such as depression, emotional challenges, hypoglycemia, diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, epilepsy, headaches, migraines, chronic pain, sleep disturbances, debilitating fatigue, sensory changes, aggressive behavior, weight problems, skin conditions, hormonal imbalances, sexual dysfunction, respiratory problems, cognitive and memory impairments, substance abuse, skin conditions, balance and gait disturbances, allergies, increased susceptibility to all infectious diseases including cancer. This will point to a large number of additional areas for research as a follow-up to this study.
I am also devising a safe, natural, effective and cost-efficient treatment protocol that is a truly holistic integration of mind-body medicine in order to address the underlying metabolic dysfunction as well as the resulting brain damage.
Once I have sufficiently restored my own stamina and functioning, in addition to completing my research and writing a narrative and detailed account of the events that precipitated my ABI as well as the course of its progression and my own healing journey, I will also be providing clinical services to assist others in restoring their own health and wellbeing. My services will be available both locally and via cyber and phone consultations, as well as collaborative efforts with other health professionals. Additionally I will be available for speaking engagements and educational and organizational consultations.
In the meantime… welcome to oi hoi polloi!

Hi Max… glad you found me… and thanks for the words of encouragement. I’ve still got a lot of work to do here… but I’m going in so many different directions at once that it’s sent me on a bit of a tail spin. I’ve got to put up a follow-up video to the one I already posted describing my latest “adventure”! If they were going to Gitmo me… the least they could have done is throw in a damn trip to Cuba! I’m also rather surprised that they didn’t dress up as aliens! Ah well… I suppose I can’t blame ‘em for trying… but they are NEVER gonna figure out the workings of a woman’s mind…
*lol*
I’ve also just discovered some rather fascinating photographs, documents and artwork that I’ll be putting up shortly. Among other things… there is now a *HUGE* question in my mind pertaining to my “mother”… who very well may have not been my mother after all! I feel like I’m living in one of Frida Kahlo’s paintings some time! The reason that I’m including some very personal information here is because my sense is that some of it is of historical significance as well… plus I’m hoping that eventually someone will see some of it and perhaps be able to answer some questions for me… or at least point me in the right direction. As I said in my video… I want answers!
By the way… are you a psychologist as well as an anthropologist? I thought I had read something to that effect on your blog. You can answer me privately if it would be more comfortable for you… and the reason I’m asking is because I have something to send you if you are that you might be very interested in. There are many points where your blog and and mine have overlapping issues that we are each raising… even when they appear to come from entirely different places! The starting points may look very different… but I believe that more and more much of this is going to converge… and simultaneously do the very same thing as I learn more about my ancestry and get some answers to that ever-growing list of questions that I have.
It’s also fine with me if you direct some people this way. I’m still navigating my way around WordPress and am still not clear on how to go about sending invites to people and would like to do so. One of these days things have to finally settle down and I will have more time to get to know my way around and also add material on more of a regular basis. I’ve got some really amazing stuff… and people need to see it!
Thanks again for dropping by and take good care of yourself! As usual… you’re always welcome here!
